Be ready before you need to be.
The WTF Keychain is your quick-access tool for reaching a licensed Florida attorney during emergencies like car accidents, bodily injuries, or law enforcement interactions. Equipped with an RFID chip, it connects you to Where's The Fault PLLC’s Emergency Legal Access Service when tapped on an NFC-enabled smartphone. This guide walks you through setup, use, and maintenance to ensure you’re ready when it matters most.
Your smartphone must have Near Field Communication (NFC) to use the keychain. Most modern iPhones (iPhone 7 and later) and Android devices support NFC.
• Step 1: Go to your phone’s settings and confirm NFC is enabled (usually under “Connections” or “Wireless” for Android, or “NFC” for iPhone).
• Step 2: Test by holding an NFC-enabled card (e.g., contactless credit card) near your phone. If it responds, your phone is compatible.
• For Android NFC Reader is near middle back of the phone. For iPhone, NFC Reader is near the top of the phone.
Not sure? Contact us at [email protected] or (855)983-4529.
After subscribing, we’ll mail your keychain to the address provided. Verify it’s undamaged upon receipt and test it immediately (see Section 3).
Test your keychain monthly to ensure it works in an emergency.
• Step 1: Enable NFC on your phone.
• Step 2: Hold the keychain near the back of your phone (near the camera for iPhone, near the middle back for Android).
• Step 3: A phone number or link to contact WTF PLLC should appear. Do not call unless it’s an emergency.
If nothing appears, try:
• Adjusting the keychain’s position on your phone.
• Ensuring NFC is on.
• Lock then wake but do not unlock the phone for iPhone.
• Ensure the phone is unlocked on Android
• Removing phone case or nearby RFID items (e.g., key fobs).
• If it still doesn’t work, request a free replacement at [email protected] or (855)983-4529
In a qualifying emergency (bodily injury, car accident, or law enforcement interaction):
• Step 1: Stay calm and ensure safety.
• Step 2: Tap the keychain on your NFC-enabled phone to display the contact number or link.
• Step 3: Call the number or follow the link to reach a licensed Florida attorney.
• Step 4: Provide your name and describe the emergency. If calling for a Covered Individual (spouse or minor child), confirm your identity and their relationship to you.
Important: The keychain is for your use only. Family members need their own subscription and keychain. You must be present during the call unless the Covered Individual is legally capable (e.g., emancipated) or an immediate family member is present.
If the keychain fails, manually call (855)983-4529 to access the Service.
Keep your keychain in good condition to ensure reliability:
• Store Properly: Avoid extreme heat, moisture, or magnetic fields (e.g., near microwaves or magnets).
• Avoid Interference: Keep it away from other RFID devices (e.g., key fobs, badges) to prevent signal conflicts.
• Check Regularly: Inspect for physical damage during monthly tests.
Example: Don’t leave the keychain in a hot car or near a wallet with RFID cards, as this may impair its function.

The WTF Keychain is designed for convenience, but:
• Reliability: We are not liable for keychain failures due to phone incompatibility, environmental damage (e.g., water exposure), interference from other RFID devices, or normal wear and tear.
• Availability: Attorney response times may vary based on call volume or schedules. We strive to respond promptly but cannot guarantee immediate access.
• Alternative Access: If the keychain doesn’t work, call (855)983-4529 directly to reach us.
Note: The keychain does not replace emergency services (e.g., 911). Always prioritize safety and contact authorities for immediate threats.

We’re here to ensure you’re confident using your keychain!
WTF is the first and only law firm to offer a 24/7 emergency legal hotline at a cost comparable to a fast-food meal, making legal support accessible to all. When you face a medical emergency, you call 911. But who do you call for a legal emergency? Most people don’t have an attorney, and even those who do often find their lawyer unavailable after hours. Each client receives a free NFC keychain upon signing up, which, with a quick tap on their phone, connects them directly to our on-call attorneys. Whether you’re dealing with a car accident, a slip and fall, a traffic stop, or an arrest, our experienced attorneys are just a tap away, ready to provide immediate guidance to protect your rights and interests. All legal advice provided during these emergency services is covered by our monthly Retainer Agreement (see Terms of Service).
Based on the emergency legal services outlined at wtf4law.com/services, Where’s the Fault PLLC offers veterans immediate, 24/7 legal support through our innovative WTF Client Keychain. Our services are designed to provide real-time guidance during critical incidents, ensuring your rights are protected and your case is strengthened from the outset:
Whether you’re a victim or accused of fault in a collision, tapping your WTF Client Keychain connects you to an attorney who guides you to document the scene (e.g., photos, witness contacts), avoid admissions of fault, and navigate interactions with police or insurance adjusters. For victims, we help build a personal injury claim for compensation, including medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering. If accused, we advise on mitigating liability through strategic statements and evidence collection.
If you’re injured due to a hazardous condition (e.g., wet floors, uneven surfaces), our attorneys guide you to document the hazard, seek medical attention, and avoid premature statements that could weaken your claim. We help build a strong personal injury case by proving property owner negligence, ensuring critical evidence is preserved at the scene.
During a traffic stop, our attorneys provide real-time advice via speakerphone or Bluetooth to remain calm, assert your rights (e.g., refusing unwarranted searches), and document interactions with law enforcement. We help prevent escalation, challenge unfair citations, and protect against officer overreach, ensuring your rights are upheld.
If arrested, our team acts swiftly, contacting a next of kin or bondsman to work toward your release as quickly as possible. We provide immediate advice to protect your rights and avoid self-incriminating statements, laying the groundwork for a strong defense.
For victims or those accused in assault or battery incidents, our real-time guidance helps protect your rights. Victims receive advice on reporting to police, documenting injuries, and preserving evidence (e.g., clothing, witness accounts) for civil claims. If accused, we coach on self-defense claims and limit statements to law enforcement to avoid misinterpretation, strengthening your defense from the start.
If stopped for suspected DUI, our attorneys guide you to limit statements, question field sobriety test conditions, and request legal counsel, preserving your defense options. We challenge charges by examining test accuracy, officer procedures, or the legality of the stop, and for victims of DUI-related accidents, we pursue claims for damages.
